Chateau-sur-Mer: Not accessible

Due to the historic architecture of the house, Chateau-sur-Mer is not accessible for guests with limited mobility. Tour involves standing, walking and stairs. The site is not equipped with ramps, elevators or lifts. The house is climate-controlled. Service dogs are welcome. Visitors can access the Chateau-sur-Mer Virtual Tour of the museum from their own digital device.

Parking lot

The parking lot for Chateau-sur-Mer is located next to the main house. There is 1 designated handicapped parking stall. The distance from the handicapped stall to the main entrance of the house is 245 feet.

Outdoor paths

There are no specific paths around the Chateau-sur-Mer landscape, but there are two driveways dividing the landscape. The driveway leading from the parking lot to the main house is paved asphalt. The driveway leading to the back lawn is a service driveway and consists of gravel and grass.

There are 9 stairs from the entry drive to the first floor.

There are 33 stairs from the first floor to the second floor.

Restrooms

A single restroom is located in the main house. It is not an accessible-equipped restroom.
