Hunter House: Not accessible

Due to the historic architecture of the house, Hunter House is not accessible for guests with limited mobility. Tour involves standing, walking and stairs. The site is not equipped with ramps, elevators, or lifts. The house is climate-controlled. Service dogs are welcome. Visitors can access the Hunter House Virtual Tour of the museum from their own digital device.

Parking

There is no parking lot for Hunter House; there is only street parking available nearby. The distance from parking directly in front of the house to the back entrance where the tour begins is 145 feet. The pathway to the house is stone pavers.

Elevator

There is no elevator at Hunter House.

Stairs

There are six stairs to get from the outside to the first floor.

There are 19 stairs to get from the first floor to the second floor.

There are 19 stairs to get from the second floor down to the first floor.

Restrooms

A single restroom is located inside the house. The restroom is small and is not an accessible-equipped restroom.

Distances

The tour route totals 314 feet, with 170 feet on the first floor and 144 feet on the second floor.
