Chepstow: Not accessible

Due to the historic architecture of the house, Chepstow is not accessible for guests with limited mobility. Tour involves standing, walking and stairs. Visitors can access the Chepstow Virtual Tour  of the museum from their own digital device onsite. The site is not equipped with ramps, elevators or lifts. The house is climate-controlled. Service dogs are welcome.

Parking lot

The parking lot for Chepstow is located next to the main house. There are no designated handicapped parking stalls, but you can park in the open spaces near the ramp. The distance from the parking lot to the main entrance of the house is 170 feet.

Outdoor paths

The pathways are made of crushed blue stone and the driveway is oil-and-stone.

Elevator

There is no elevator at Chepstow.

Stairs

There are 5 stairs from the driveway to the first floor.

There are 21 stairs from the first floor to the second floor.

There are 19 stairs from the second floor to the first floor.

Restrooms

A single restroom is located in the main house, accessible via a ramp. This restroom is small and not an accessible-equipped restroom.

The tour route totals 558 feet, with 245 feet on the first floor and 165 feet on the second floor.
